School Director
Our Fabulous Teachers
All of our teachers have a great love for children and teaching. Stop by or call any time to speak to your child's teacher about his or her progress.
The director of our school is Valerie Shlimbaum. Val has a B.A. in English and an Elementary Education degree from Emmanuel College in Boston MA. Val is certified to teach elementary education K–8. She has been teaching children for 19 years and has been director at Happy Face for 15 years. As director, Val is responsible for creating the curriculum for the school and overseeing the staff, as well as being part of the Executive Board of Trustees. She also teaches the Fab 5s class. Val says, “My philosophy is to create a hands-on-learning environment where young children come together to socialize, play, and stimulate their minds.” Feel free to contact Val at the school any time to discuss our programs or your child's progress.
