Show & Tell is a fun and very important activity that promotes language development, self-esteem and creativity. Each student presents their item to the class and provides a brief description or story about the item the date and theme of each show & tell appear on the monthly calendar and on the website. Each 4-year old and Fab 5 student will have a Show & Tell day in which they are the VIP. They lead Show & Tell and bring a special item that tells about themselves. (i.e. Family photo, favorite toy, etc.) Sing-a-Longs
At the end of each month, family members are invited to a presentation performed by their children. Families may arrive one hour before normal pick up time (i.e. 10:30 AM or 2:30 PM) to socialize and have refreshments in the conference room. The actual sing-a-longs take place one half hour before the end of the school day. This is a great way to meet other parents and students!

Happy Face does not hold a formal Valentine’s Day Party, but we do exchange cards with each other. During class time the children will decorate fancy bags for depositing cards for classmates and friends.
Please send valentines in for your child to give to each child in their own homeroom, and for children in the other classes if they should choose to do so. The children only need to sign the cards. Please DO NOT address the envelope to a particular classmate. Candy may be included with the valentines, however, it is not necessary.
LUNCH BUNCH DROPINS WELCOME, Monday-Thursday. Please contact the school by the morning of the dropin to reserve your child's spot in Lunch Bunch. You must speak with the aide on duty that day and have a lunch prepared for your child. The dropin fee is $10/day. Dear Happy Face Community,
Fundraising is essential to our school and we are asking for your help to make it a successful year. If you have any "NEW" unused items that you don't know what to do with consider donating it to our April 20th Tricky Tray event. Maybe you have a "re-gifting" drawer that needs cleaning out.
If you yourself or someone you know works for a corporation that can donate services/items we would greatly welcome and appreciate it. We’d appreciate it if all donations are received by March 30th.
Also, if you have any ideas for baskets/items but aren't sure how to gather them, let Phyllis or Brandy know and they will gladly help.
Lastly, we will need baskets to use for all the items. If you have any baskets or decorative boxes that you don't need please drop them off at the school and we will put them to good use.
